Join the Industrial Optimization Group!


We welcome both new doctoral studends and postdoctoral researchers assuming funding can be arranged. Information about these positions and the requirements in English is provided here. Motivated bachelor and master students are also welcomed to conduct their interested research in the industrial optimization group. There are several thesis topics available for bachelor, master, and Ph.D. students.

New postdoctoral researchers are expected to

  • be familiar with multiobjective optimization and basics of nonlinear programming
  • have high interest and plan of how to collaborate with the Industrial Optimization Group and prepare joint publications
  • be interested in and willing to work as an active part of the group
  • be active in research and willing to bear responsibility of one's own duties within the group
  • be willing to supervise doctoral students and share one's knowledge and expertise with group members
  • have experience and interest in teaching optimization courses
  • have experience in coordinating research projects or interest, experience and contacts in finding new research projects
  • have experience in scientific publishing and reviewing research articles

New doctoral students are expected to

  • be familiar with basics of multiobjective optimization and nonlinear programming
  • be motivated in working hard in theory/method/software development of nonlinear multiobjective optimization and industrial applications
  • have motivation and preliminary plan of how to collaborate with the Industrial Optimization Group
  • have interest in preparing scientific research articles
  • be willing to work as an active member of the group and bear responsibility of one's own duties within the group
