Aim and Scope

RMMM 2013 conference brings together scientists working for reliable methods of mathematical modelling, which are among the latest developments on the field of scientific computing. In the Department of Mathematical Information Technology of the University of Jyväskylä, professors Sergey Repin and Pekka Neittaanmäki lead an international reseach team dedicated to reliable mathematical modelling. The first RMMM was organized 2003 in Jyväskylä. The conference returns to Finland after ten years, during which it has been organized 2005 in Zurich, 2007 in St. Petersburg, 2009 Berlin, and 2011 in Lausanne.

The Workshop financially supported by Department of Mathematical Technology and TSV, Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.

Main Topics

  • mesh-adaptive numerical methods in various applied problems,
  • a posteriori error control and verification of numerical solutions,
  • validation of mathematical models used in computer simulation,
  • nonlinear computational partial differential equations.

Flyer of the workshop is available here.
