The laboratory has taken part in the following international research programs:
- ESF (European Scientific Foundation) programme: Mathematical Treatment of Free Boundary Problems, period 1993-1997, 18 countries from
Europe, more than 25 research groups.
- HCM (Human Capital and Mobility) programmes: Mathematics as Industrial Resource, period 1992-1995, network of six research groups; Optimal Control and Applications, period 1993-1995, network of five research
groups.
- Exchange programs of postgraduate students and researchers: GMD
(Gescheschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung, St. Augustin, Germany). The co-operation agreement covers the following fields: parallel
computing, FEM, numerical linear algebra, optimal control and applications; Domain Decomposition Methods and Applications (Subprogram 8 in
Exchange program of the Academy of Finland and the Russian Academy
of Science); Numerical Methods for Fluid Flow Simulation (Exchange program between the Laboratory of Scientific Computing and the Department
of Mathematics and Mechanics, University of St. Petersburg).
