SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM The Program will consist of keynote lectures (45 minutes), invited lectures (30 min), presentations (20 min), and minisymposia on specific topics. LANGUAGE The official language of the Conference is English. CANCELLATION For cancellations received before June 1, a refund (with a deduction of 300 FIM / 55 € for handling and bank charges) of the registration fees will be made. No refund can be guaranteed after this date. ACCOMPANYING PERSONS’ PROGRAM Registered accompanying persons are welcome to take part in the social program of the Conference. Jyväskylä offers good facilities for sports (swimming, tennis, squash, sauna). Several international airlines have regular flights to Helsinki, the national capital. The City of Jyväskylä is located about 270 km north of Helsinki, in the heart of the Finnish lake area. Jyväskylä can be reached from Helsinki through several daily connections by plane, train, and bus. Approximate journey times from Helsinki to Jyväskylä are: air 40 min, train 3.5 hours, and bus 4.5 hours. There are also direct bus connections between Jyväskylä and Helsinki Airport. Taxis can be obtained by telephone (see telephone directory under Taksi), picked up at taxi-stations or flagged down on the move. HEALTH CARE Participants are responsible for arranging medical insurance for themselves, for the duration of their stay in Finland. |
