The finite element method is one of the most effective numerical techniques for solving various problems arising from mathematical physics and engineering. The aim of the conference is to bring together specialists working on finite element solutions of three-dimensional problems, since this is nowadays a very active area in numerical mathematics and engineering. The topics of the conference include generation of three-dimensional unstructured meshes, local and adaptive mesh refinement, Delaunay triangulations, three-dimensional curved and mortar elements, shell elements, domain decomposition and multigrid methods, a priori and a posteriori error estimates, reliable solutions, superconvergence phenomena, direct and iterative solvers, nonlinear and singularly perturbed problems, optimal shape design, visualization of three-dimensional finite elements and solutions, software for 3D-problems etc. A special emphasis will be laid on real-life industrial applications.
